Anniversary

It has been 1 year this May since Mocha Delight transferred ownership. Our story of coming into ownership of a coffee shop is a little unusual. My husband and I both have careers, not in the “coffee business” and I don’t even drink coffee! So owning a coffee shop wasn’t anywhere on our life plan. 

However, Brian and Mocha Delight have long been a part of my life, when he introduced me to my favorite chai tea 18 years ago, when I was pregnant with our son (who now works at the shop with Brian!)

When Brian told me that he wanted to semi-retire and sell the shop, every morning we would jokingly discussed how to keep his shop a locally owned location that Silverton has come to know. That is when we decided to purchase the shop and keep his legacy going….friendly service, caring staff and local partnerships.
Now that we are getting our feet underneath us- this was a new experience for this non-coffee drinking owner! I have learned so much about coffee in the last year. We are hoping to start trying some new menu items, expanding our customer base and keep making personal connections throughout our Silverton community.
